For punishing her, him thanks-she.
In corner stands-she.
Book punishment signs-she.
Schoolgirl lesson firm has learned.

This story is a clever piece of construction, and it made me laugh. There was a whiff of schadenfreude (a malicious satisfaction in the misfortunes of others) in the air as I read it. I was reminded of (joke?) notices for the benefit of patrons in hotels in non-English-speaking countries. The story reminds us that humour is an often-neglected element of erotica.

Cute, funny, and perfectly executed. It's a great gag, carried off with aplomb (and how often is there a plomb to carry off when you need one?). In fact, it's so good that it's easy to miss what's missing, which is a context for the gag to exist in. Why should the scene be narrated in English with Latin syntax ordering? Way tricky to also include that in 50 words, but the piece does miss it. (Pablo)
