PATIENCE (PHOTO - 09 - THE PICTURE OF THE CLOCK ON THE WALL) (M/F)

Principal Sam Walters didn't like Paula Peters.

But Sam was a patient man.

When Paula asked permission to sit in on her sick nephew's classes Sam
readily agreed.

His request that Paula give her mother power of attorney in case of
"medical emergencies" seemed reasonable.

On the second week of class Sam manufactured a bogus parking "crisis"
to justify the elimination of Paula's parking space.

Now Paula had to ride the bus and eat at school.

Sam waited another week before suggesting that Paula dine in the
cafeteria "with the other students" instead of the Teacher's Lounge.

Sam ordered Paula's teachers to treat the 27 year old EXACTLY like any
other student.

Sam enjoyed watching Paula's brazen self-confidence slowly melt away.

Sam called 10 times before the State sent Paula the letter ordering her
to take a gym class.

Sam was a patient man.

The computer assigned Paula to the kindly Mrs. Rowe's gym class. But
Sam patiently rearranged the schedules to place Paula under the thumb
of the dictatorial Miss Brick. Miss Brick demanded that Paula wear the
regulation school gym uniform and shower with the other 18 year old
students in the large gang shower.

Paula was horribly shy about her petite stature and small breasts, and
the daily humiliation of being forced to shower with the other girls in
front of the tomboyish Miss Bricks quickly eroded what little self
esteem Paula had left.

When Mr. Walters nagged the Superintendent into asking Paula to wear a
school uniform, Paula was too cowed to fight back.

Sam Walters chuckled as he remembered the look on Paula's face as she
had watched her mother sign the "in loco parentis" forms that
authorized Mr. Walters to paddle her.

Paula had been shocked when her mother had asked if her spankings would
be administered "on the bare". Paula had watched in helpless horror as
Sam showed her mother how to properly authorize the shameful and
ignominious punishment.

It had been two weeks since the form had been signed. But when Paula
missed the bus and was 10 minutes late for her first period study hall
Sam knew his long wait was over.

Mr. Walters peeked through his office door and smiled. Paula was
sitting on the bench outside his office with her ankles crossed,
fidgeting like the naughty teenager she now was.

The uniformed schoolgirl stared nervously up at the enormous clock.
The childish coloring of the red, blue, and green hands seemed
strangely appropriate given the juvenile nature of the punishment she
was about to receive.

It had taken him four months to transform Paula from a snotty executive
into a timid schoolgirl, but Sam Walters had relished every minute of
her humiliating tumble.

Her spanking was supposed to start at 1PM.

It was now 1:07.

Tick, tock!

Tick, tock!

Sam Walters loved watching Paula squirm as she imagined her underpants
being lowered and the paddle warming her behind.

Sam smiled, watched, and waited.

Sam Walters was a patient man.

Principal Sam Walters didn't like Paula Peters.

No, he certainly didn't. I rather suspect a few others didn't as well, because it seemed everyone began to relish her transformation into a teenager! And by the end, not knowing her at all, only knowing Sam Walters, I was cheering for her to get her come-uppance. Very well-written!

This reviewer enjoyed the analogy of a patient man to the metronome-qualities of a clock. 'Patience' is a good example of how to steadily build apprehension and trepidation.

I enjoyed reading this story. The writer was able to craft clear word pictures. This story held my interest to the very last word. I hope to read more stories by this writer. I can see the clock on the wall. I could also see her watching the minutes hand go round and round. Good story.
