"No Daddy." She lay over her father's lap, crisp white wedding dress up around her waist and the frilly panties she'd chosen for the wedding around her ankles.
Her cute firm bottom was glowing red and throbbing. Daddy's hand, not for the first time in her 23 years, stingingly came down yet again on her buttocks. "Now stay in the corner for the traditional half-hour." She stood, one arm holding the folds of the dress above her burning bottom. Her panties still at her ankles. A half-hour to meditate on the day.
Her mother came at the end of her time. "Mom, why the Spanking? The Tradition?" "Because life is painful, after all…" Her mother took both of her hands in front and then tied her wrists with a white silk ribbon, then braided the ribbon through her fingers and between her hands. Another tradition. "The bonds of love." The white fabric of her dress was pinned up behind at her waist, the belt sash in a wide bow, leaving the red buttocks exposed in the rear. Her panties stayed at her ankles. She waited there for her daddy's return.
Then led by her united hands, the slow march out and down the aisle began. Here comes the bride. In the cadence she'd practiced weeks earlier, shuffling along with the panties hobbling every step. Her father placed her hands in one of the groom's.
Do you… it was the traditional admonition to the groom to act intelligently, reasonably and to be fair, for she would be and was his lover, his soulmate and above all, his partner and friend. "And do you promise to love, honor and obey? [Please bend forward]"
"Ow!" (left cheek)
"I…"
"Ow!" (right)
"Do."
"Ow!"
And then later, "Ah!"

It's a nice image, but an image is all it is, so it feels like a story that's not been given all of the attention it deserves. There's no character, and no context for what happens. The events would have far greater resonance if they happened to people we got to know - even in the limited space allowed. The missing 200 words might have gone a long way towards adding the details of world and character that this nice, but unambitious, piece needs.

A bit of spanking, a bit of bondage, a bit of humiliation - a kinky wedding indeed! I would like to live in that universe! My imagination can easily take this irreverent little vignette and run with it - I bet the reception is an absolute orgy! Thanks for sending in this light-hearted piece as a fitting end to the contest.

There was little believability to this story. It was not gripping; nothing really drew me into the story or made me want to know what was going to happen to the characters next. I did like the little life's lessons worked into the story though. Like «life is painful», «the bonds of love», etc.
