Category: Parody Tribute

I haven't ever written a parody before, however I have been given an assignment this year by Uncle Stephen to enter as many of the categories as I can, being an Age-Player when I do my writing I tend to listen Uncle Stephen's radio station that he made for me when we met. It helps me to stay focused on my task at hand, This song came on when I was trying to come up with a story idea.

The original song being I Love Trash sung by Oscar the Grouch

OHHH I love spankings
Beautiful red bottoms bareeee
Paddles, straps worn from use so longgg
OHHH I loveeeeee spankinggssss

Anything to do with spankings from five to fifty years old…
YES I loveee spankingssss
A hairbrush or spoon I love them because there for spankings,
Anything wooden or leather, whippy and stingy, I love spankings.

Yess I loveeee IIIIII LOVEEEEEEEE SPANKINGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Er..yeah OK..I don't know the original but from the brevity of this that wouldn't seem to be too much of a handicap. I assume it scans, assume it isn't meant to be treated too seriously and I'll mark it accordingly.

I'm too old to have watched "Sesame Street" as a toddler and I'm not familiar with the original song, so I've read this with those limitations. The song is apparently pretty short, which in turn results in a short parody song as well, but I certainly agree with the basic sentiments expressed in it–it's undoubtedly an improvement on the original's sentiments, especially to spankophiles.

My one negative comment is actually more of a warning to the parody "Oscar," I'm over fifty myself and I could claim age discrimination based on his "five to fifty years old" range of spanking involvement!

This is very cute.  There should have been at least one more verse, but it does have the chorus and one verse.  The introduction was good as well.

I remember Oscar the Grouch, and even vaguely the Trash song, so I went to Youtube to refresh my memory.  Maybe I listened to a different version than the author.

I couldn't make the words fit into what Oscar was singing. Still - I guess anything Sesame Street related isn't meant to be taken seriously!
