Vice Principal Hopper stood before the assembly of parents and students. The returning students feared her, their parents love her. She brooks no nonsense. She holds a two foot wooden paddle above her head.

"Let's get to it. If you know little about us, this is what you know. We paddle here. A lot. We never threaten. A student does something wrong, the teacher texts me right in class; Initials, Number and Reason Code. We advise students to take notes. If they show up in my office without knowing why or how many, it's double.

"You receive a copy automatically. I know some of you spank at home when children are spanked at school. We support that. We are also willing to spank for you. I send them to the back of the line for the second round. Boys get it Monday and Wednesdays. Girls, Tuesday and Thursdays. We also accept texts from parents for home problems. Just call my machine after so we know it's not from another student. I met that last girl every Tuesday for two months."

The parents laugh. She shows her paddle edgewise so they can see it's width.

"This is one of my paddles. It's only 3/16 thick so we break many of them. This is the other school's paddle. It's a half inch thick. It's barbaric. They threaten with it, rarely use it, then injure the student. That is why we only spank bare."

"This is what happens when you use too thick a paddle and can't see what you're doing. If your child's bottom gets too damaged, we stop and finish another day, with interest of course."

The parents laugh again.

"There is always some talk about the impropriety or unfairness of my spanking the boys. Nonsense."

A young girl wearing a bikini steps forward.

"This is our procedure. The student disrobes fully. I insist upon this because pain is only half the punishment. Imagine there is a full length wall mirror. She bends over the top rail putting her feet inside the bottom rail and holding it. Face forward we proceed. Notice the eye chart. They are expected to concentrate. One swat per letter. If they don't know the letter when I ask they do the punishment over."

She gives the girl one hard swat over her bikini bottom. A nervous giggle.

"After her numbers up, she stands to face the mirror. Next girl turns around. Their are four girls in 'Corner Time' for every girl being paddled plus a girl or two dressing or undressing. After she dresses, she sends the next girl in. Since I take calls in between, they are often there for up to an hour. Any sound out of them and it's back over the rail."

"After the presentation come up to my office. I can demonstrate on your child if you have any doubts. I take boys until nine, girls after."
