On Top of the Chair

On Top of the Chair
A spanking parody
(To the tune of "Top of the World" as sung by The Carpenters, 1972)

Such a feeling's comming through to me
It's the biggest sting that ever there could be
I'm not telling a lie
there are tears in my eyes
And I really wish it were just a bad dream

Everything I didn't want to see
is now comming true especially for me
When my butt stings this much
I have got a little hunch
that my difference from an angel has been seen

Chorus: I'm on top of the chair
looking down at the carpet
and the only expiation in my mind
is the smacks on my end
since you've made me do this bend
when you put me on the top of the chair

When I heard your voice call out my name
It was telling me that I should be ashamed
soon my bottom was bare
and your strap touched me there
and it banished all the happiness from me

There is only one wish on my mind
that this spanking soon will end and I will find
that forgiveness will be
flowing right from you to me
It's your love I need to keep me centered here!

I'm on top of the chair
looking down at the carpet
and the only expiation in my mind
is the smacks on my end
since you've made me do this bend
when you put me on the top of the chair

Yes I'm on top of the chair
looking down at the carpet
and the only expiation in my mind
is the smacks on my end
since you've made me do this bend
when you put me on the top of the chair

Barrister

A very clever parody of a 70s song.  I am always in awe of anyone who can write parodies, the champion of which was Hal back in the ASS days.  I liked this one a lot and applaud the author's skill.

A good tip for song parody is to choose a catchy, singable tune to begin with, so I couldn't help but sing this to myself in my head - it's a great choice. The translation to spanko is a bit hit and miss, but the fantastic 'explanation'/'expiation' switch is worth an extra mark all by itself.

I really like the idea of "On Top of the Chair," and I love the Carpenters song that inspired it.  There are some really good turns of phrase here, but also some slightly awkward bits that don't quite seem to fit the tune.  A good effort, and spanking is definitely front and center.
